How good is Maze? Every time I go there's always a little more I find.CavernCrow wrote: ↑26 Aug 2017, 10:10 pmHey everybody, I'm from Melbounre and I'm really interested in drains and abandonments (and most urbex to be honest). I've been interested for ages and explored a bunch of abandoned buildings in the country before moving to Melbourne a few years ago. I adore the history associated with hidden places like drains and abandoned buildings, as well as the sense of exploration.
I'm a uni student, so time is pretty limited, but I've gotten around to exploring a few drains recently with some buddies and had a great time! We spent a day exploring the maze system which was honestly amazing and got me even more into it. I'm joining this forum because I really enjoy reading about other people's experiences and would love to meet likeminded people.
So yeah, thats me, hi!
Camberwell Junction gutter box is well worth the walk up to it. (right arm of Maze). Gets a bit stoopy towards the end but well worth it. Easily one of the best gutterbox views you'll find in Melbourne. Has an upstream entrance into it if you fancy a 630m crawl pipe, my knees can attest to it not being recommended unless you have a skateboard.CavernCrow wrote: ↑28 Aug 2017, 8:12 pmYeah, maze is great! We spent a whole day there and I reckon we were lucky to see half of it (We did make it all the way to the upstream entrance though!).
Last time you told me there was a little stoop I nearly died...
The gutterbox arm of maze is only doable in a crawl. It's a pretty long way too so be warned and wear clothes you can get wet and dirty ahahaCavernCrow wrote: Next time I get the chance to head back to Maze I'll definitely take a look! I reckon I can handle the stoop (famous last words?). There was definitely a fair bit of stoop and even a bit of crawling near the end of the left arm of Maze.
Thanks for the tip, will do!Vicinity wrote: ↑31 Aug 2017, 9:56 pmLast time you told me there was a little stoop I nearly died...
