Each there own though.
Its far from crap. If you're familiar with the history of zombie cinema and have dabbled with Romero's zombie legacy, and the Italian splatterfests of the 70's and 80's including the good ones like Lucio Fulc's Zombie Flesh Eaters, The Beyond, House by the Cemetery, and the very bad ones (Zombi III, Nightmare City (lol), Zombie Holocaust, Buried Alive) blah blah blah, then you're able to identify that Shaun of the Dead is a masterpiece of a parody and spoof of its own genre whilst at the same time being able to deliver entertainment through a well written script but personally I don't like comedy and if there is anything enjoy less than comedy, it'd be Brit comedy.
I've only ever seen Shaun of the Dead once and I thought it was a very accurate and clever parody of the zombie genre but I liked that directors follow up Hot Fuzz much much much more. I like the social anxieties and deterioration of a zombie dominated world so I like it done seriously. Example: Day of the Dead
What I have always remembered about Shaun of the Dead is near the opening where where the fat guy comes up to the people at the bar after they were talking about him being abrupt (or something) and he says "do any of you cunts... want a drink?"
