Boom Beach ads are actually pretty good unlike ads for other iOS games.

My phone somehow shat itself overnight, looks like it's something you can't really do anything about either. Hopefully I'm wrong!

I found a nice game on iOS though. Heroes and Castles. :D I still dislike gaming on a tablet/phone, but after selling my PS Vita, I don't have many choices since I'm travelling to and from work in my free time.

+ One of the OTG Hubs I ordered came!
+ Reformatted my tablet to Win 8.1 Pro!
- Didn't realise the installer was fully automated and I didn't backup the drivers :o
- Touch orientation is reversed :s

Hopefully I have a backup on my laptop at home...

That's worse than the time I reinstalled the OS and the keyboard did not operate with the standard drivers.

Removed all the devices, re-installed and the touch stuff works again - although the screen orientation is off by 90°.

It was just frozen on the startup S3 screen when I looked at it, wouldn't let me do anything else to it. Plugged it into my laptop and the screen went white and pixelly, haven't been able to do anything with it since. Need to see if there's any way to get photos I took yesterday off of it. Backed it up a few days before so at least it's not a huge loss if not :/

Of the billion apps that have instant photo syncs, you've used none? :P

If you've installed a custom recovery on it by any chance you can use ADB (Android Debug Bridge) and sometimes get stuff off it but if its a particular S3 variant there is a known issue where the storage can corrupt and fully brick the phone.

Not a fan of instant syncing stuff, I accidentally set something to sync with my photos on that phone aaaand never worked out how to delete or access the synced copies so now i have a couple thousand photos synced to idk where? On top of it the default cover photo for the album was NSFW which was not greeeeeeat. I'm basically an old man when it comes to these things so I didn't have ADB on it :/

When it comes to eratic behaviour on a software level, it's well above my knowledge. Having had problems like this in the past, I have just dropped the phone into a place called E&E electronics here in Brisbane. $30 and it was fixed with all data still intact.
I realise that you're not from Bris and that I was probably lucky that it was an easy fix for them. But it may work out better left to the experts.

It's amazing how long files encrypted by some form of unique and FUD crypter remain undetectable by major AV/AMs

Comment is still valid.

My comment was completely unrelated to yours, simply an observation/statement. I'd say your more than safe, considering the source, but having been infected multiple times from FUD files and having had thousands of dollars temporarily stolen from said things, I have to have a knife behind my back at times
