That's worse than the time I reinstalled the OS and the keyboard did not operate with the standard drivers.Crispex wrote:- Didn't realise the installer was fully automated and I didn't backup the drivers![]()

Removed all the devices, re-installed and the touch stuff works again - although the screen orientation is off by 90°.Midget wrote:That's worse than the time I reinstalled the OS and the keyboard did not operate with the standard drivers.Crispex wrote:- Didn't realise the installer was fully automated and I didn't backup the drivers![]()

It was just frozen on the startup S3 screen when I looked at it, wouldn't let me do anything else to it. Plugged it into my laptop and the screen went white and pixelly, haven't been able to do anything with it since. Need to see if there's any way to get photos I took yesterday off of it. Backed it up a few days before so at least it's not a huge loss if not :/dndkAU wrote:Symtoms ?Rantallion wrote:My phone somehow shat itself overnight, looks like it's something you can't really do anything about either. Of the billion apps that have instant photo syncs, you've used none?Rantallion wrote:It was just frozen on the startup S3 screen when I looked at it, wouldn't let me do anything else to it. Sounds like a job for a phone tech...which I'm notRantallion wrote:It was just frozen on the startup S3 screen when I looked at it, wouldn't let me do anything else to it. Not a fan of instant syncing stuff, I accidentally set something to sync with my photos on that phone aaaand never worked out how to delete or access the synced copies so now i have a couple thousand photos synced to idk where? On top of it the default cover photo for the album was NSFW which was not greeeeeeat. I'm basically an old man when it comes to these things so I didn't have ADB on it :/Crispex wrote: Of the billion apps that have instant photo syncs, you've used none?
If you've installed a custom recovery on it by any chance you can use ADB (Android Debug Bridge) and sometimes get stuff off it but if its a particular S3 variant there is a known issue where the storage can corrupt and fully brick the phone.
Can safely assume you still know more than medndkAU wrote: Sounds like a job for a phone tech...which I'm not

My comment was completely unrelated to yours, simply an observation/statement. I'd say your more than safe, considering the source, but having been infected multiple times from FUD files and having had thousands of dollars temporarily stolen from said things, I have to have a knife behind my back at timesCrispex wrote: Comment is still valid.
If you think everyone you converse with in life has a knife behind their back, you're gonna have a bad time.
