LOL,
Classic !!
I remember when in the Ukraine i tried on some of the head gear the Soviet tank crew wore.
Well fun but not something you would wear out for dinner :)

I came across a military fetish store in Berlin which had some awesome gasmasks.. I had to buy one!

You could totally wear it out for dinner, minus the whole 'eating' part :P

I thought about getting one of these to wear to abandonments, but I don't really want to get mistaken for a terrorist in Sydney.

Yeah, I can imagine, they look sweet though, might get one for Japan, they aren't as terrorism crazy as America/Australia/UK.

Yeah, in Japan, they'd just mistake you for someone with a very weird fetish or a tentacle monster engineer.

Those masks are much cheaper than I would have thought, Titan. Where are you originally from, if you don't mind my asking?

All good. I was born in Estonia and moved to Aus in 94 :)

So would you have your dual citizenship? I'm currently in the process of euro citizenship... takes so long for the paperwork to go through. I was born here, so had to dig up my father's original certificates.

I've got a Scott PROMASK which I use from time to time, it's got P3 filters in it, I've worn it for a few hours without taking it off, it's tough, your whole face scratches, but you know if you take it off you'll breathe in god knows what,

Image

It's natural rubber etc, something something cooling, so it's the modern equivalent, but god, I'd still die if I had to wear it indefinatley like the army ones.

Nice one, I'm having trouble finding a good fitting P3 mask in shops. Probably have to get it online, but I'm lazy. Also, my crappy Asian face ain't made for these products.

Midget, you can pick up a pack of 20 disposable ones for like 40 bucks at bunnies. They should fit any face. I'm not keen on disposable s*** in general but the thought of pigeon s*** dust, asbestos dust and f*** knows what building up on the surface of a non-disposable mask puts me off.

Besides, the disposable ones make you look like a mother fuckin' Mortal Kombat ninja.

Choose your destiny bro.

The disposable ones I've seen only go up to P2, or like P2.5 (which is P2K or something?). They fit horribly even after a lot of bending.

I get most of my gear from here, they're around Aus.

It's also worth knowing what's bad, for example, health wise, but I think that's another thread....
