Maybe we shouldn't let tourists into the country too. Who knows what photographs they might be taking?

Hahaha

"Urban explorers probably won’t have to feel singled out for long. Wait until the National Counterterrorism Center learns about the architectural drawings available for viewing in the nearest university library, or the map brochures available to tourists at national landmarks."

Let's organise an underground "fireworks" display, if you know what I mean. That'll teach them to mess with us.

What a bunch of s***. Why even bother sharing this, it's clearly pure retardation on the part of the articles 'author'.

If your job was the security dude in a major highrise in the CBD, and you're sitting on the desk, see the door to a fire escape up on a floor near the roof has been opened, take the lift up, check it out, notice it's ajar, look around, yell into the stair well, take the stairs up to the door of the plant room, it's locked, you head back down and return to watching reruns of FRIENDS at your desk, then an hour later you see the CCTV cameras in the laneway showing a buch of folk in hoodies exiting the base of the fire escape, laden with cameras, you've failed in your job.

Sometimes people's jobs are on the line with this stuff, and while the article is a bit alarmist and all this talk of terrorism is pretty much bullshit, it's not to say that our collective hobby isn't necessarily as harmless as me may think, sometimes someone's gotta pay.

Hmm not sure I agree really. If you don't do anything too dangerous (like hang off side of cranes *frowns at midget*) and don't do any damage then no one is hurt. I don't see the problem with this honestly.

8-) I am perfectly safe when doing that... I think. Logic: If it wasn't safe, I'd be dead. Hence until you see a news headline saying some midget died trespassing, it means I've been safe (until then).

Gosh, if I actually believed what I was writing I'd have been dead quite some time ago.

Lets face it, it's WAAAAY easier to be a terrorist than a counter terrorist. There are far better resources available than Urban explorers for information on critical infrastructure.
