Pair of explorers in Brisbane

Hi all,

We are a pair of amateur photographers currently getting out and about for Urban Exploration in Brisbane. Mostly night time adventures. Both of us armed separately with a Canon 550D and a Canon 600D

We have started a little page on facebook of all places, both for feedback on our shots so we can get better and to share some of the wonderful locations. Theres some older stuff on there but all pretty much this year. We're only getting started, Brisbane isn't exactly the friendliest place for this stuff either as some of you would know.

We're off to Japan, Russia and Hong Kong in May so should be lots of urbex to be had.

Check it out, comments encouraged as is sharing :) We'll be hanging around here too of course.

Welcome! Your photos are great, seems you've been getting out and about a fair bit. Have you had the chance to do any drains yet?

Thanks, yeah we've had a bit of a flurry of activity lately due to a bit of free time and being able to get together as a result. With both of us working etc it's getting harder to get out. We've got nearly 3 weeks overseas so hope to find lots of locations. Thanks for the feedback, most if not all have been seen before but you know how it is.

No drains.....yet. It's on the cards.

I'd be happy to show you a few some time if you like, As I'm sure plenty of our other members would. I'd love to learn more about the photography aspect.

Welcome to UEGA!

Nice photos, though I'd say they're a bit over-edited, but that's my personal opinion so don't mind me. :D

I recently visited Hong Kong and would've done some stuff there, but decided not to risk it and I'd suggest the same to you. They're very hard on trespassers due to many copper thieves and so on, especially in construction sites. Being confident in my oh-sh*t-cops running skill, that wouldn't deter me; but unfamiliarity with the place and probably a lot more trouble if caught compared to a local... well, you get my point. :D

If you're still keen, I'd say, just plan out a very good escape plan with at least 3-4 streets since police are EVERYWHERE in Hong Kong.

Although it does look pretty bare, i still like those mill shots - I heard that's going soon. There's a better one where near I live but it's in lockdown now due to vandalism.
Just a harmless explorer. No need to waste taxes checking me ;)

EDIT: Never mind. I realised I got it wrong. I just happened to post elsewhere in the forum which by chance was relating to the mill.

Do not try this at home. [Local drains, abandonments and construction sites are okay.]

Ya'll are so friendly haha. My counterpart only gave me login details for this site the other day. Still learning my way around it. We're headed into the drains very soon with some experienced people. Very keen! Hopefully the ridiculous Brisbane rain can hold off for a bit

Not really, but done right, it can lend great (and unnecessary, but shhh...) drama.
