Walking back to my car tonight I passed a local drain. It was chockers, so I figured I'd get some piccies for reference. Only had my phone on me, but you get the idea.
Those who have seen this place in person should be able to appreciate the volume of water present, but for others, the culverts would probably be about 2.5-3m high?

Pretty impressive to see it full like that.

Back in January when we got all that rain, we went and had a look at the birdcage at Toadie... Now that was an intimidating sight! Half full with an incredible volume of water flowing through. Seeing these bigger drains serve their intended purpose is certainly a sight to behold, I definitely got a renewed sense of respect for the things.

Is there anything else interesting about that place Aydun. Been through that tunnel but it's pretty damned boring really... I do suspect that there's lots of other s*** around that area, but not sure if its worth finding.

Edit: Seom pics from here: http://notquitehereorthere.wordpress.co ... 10/photos/

As boring as it is, you certainly managed some nice pics :)
There's a couple places around that area, nothing extremely awesome, but still interesting.
http://www.uega.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1095 Top two, but it was just RCP.

There's one I want to check out, driving east from there.
