The countdown to the end of the Dunlop Factory

So as the title implies the much explored Dunlop slazenger factory is due for destruction.

I took a walk through it today on my lunch break by the looks of it its due to go real real soon , the gates have now been open to make way for trucks to pick up trash , and all the junk is being swept up in to big piles. for any one who saw the tram sheds just before they came down same thing was happening there.

Also looks like some one tried to burn the place to the ground as there is some massive fire damage to some of the walls and a few of the rooms in there.

Ill keep this thread updated for those who havent seen it and want to get down there soon! :)

I'm planning on visiting Sydney in May, has the Dunlop factory or the glebe tram sheds been torn down completely yet?

If not, whats the security like on these places now? Dunlop factory was a walk in job last time I was there but the tram sheds were all locked up. Desperate to get in again!

Basically all the doors in to the place were open last time I was there. The floors are swept up, the big green safe has been removed. But the pink burnt car was still at the back, but had been shifted closer to the wall.

The upstairs area was cleaner than before, but still a mess though.

Hell, even got cars in there for a photoshoot haha.

nope still there, although the ease of just walking through a wide open door has now been made a little more difficult as they have sealed off all the doors and put that green mesh stuff up around the gates. from a quick pass by in a car entry is still possible just keep your eyes open :)

This place in now not able to be accessed thru the door on the outside of the building.
I had arranged a photoshoot there with a model but when we arrived it was all closed up.

Being me however I found another way in.

The fence along the carpark beside the factory (base warehouse carpark) hides a small tunnel.
Travel along this 300 mtr tunnel under the factory and when it comes up there is a hole in the fence leading right into the factory.

The dogs are kept on one side of the factory where the building goods are now also being kept, they cant get to you and you cant get to them.

Enjoy guys :)

this place is still around, and the absoloute thorn in my side.
i have had 3 unsuccessful attempts to get in, including going under the whole compound via the drain [to pop up on the other side, not in the middle of the complex as thought lol].... unfortunatley they have secured all the fences really well now, you can see where people have gone through but they dont replace the fence with wire again, its some sort of metal bracey thing [scuse the terminology]
the dog is gone now, he was there for my first 2 visits, looked huge and scary but he liked a good scratch on the nose, i think he was lonely! i hope hes gone to somewhere better.

i have some pictures from some of the art down in the drain and a few other pictures... someone graffitied over the big cat that used to be on the tower, very dissapointing.

i just refuse to enter somewhere by causing damage, so i wont cut a hole to get in, but im getting REALLY frustrated :(

some other photographers were trying to get in when we were, they told me about the Wisdom Toothbrush abandoned factory, id never heard of it!

Went yesterday during the day.
Was pretty easy to get in, looked a lot cleaner then what ive seen in some of the pictures. All the rubbish was swept up into one massive pile. Was interesting and good for photos but not much to see really.
There was a few people around, An old couple taking photos and a band filming a video clip.
