Keen to meet some new people who enjoy urbex and photography not just trashing the joint.

It’s pretty accurate. I’ve met some amazing people in Urbex and people who are works in progress, people who absolutely went from being a bit iffy to being superstars and sadly the other way around.
Old 90s explorer EDGAR used to say a lot of people in Cave Clan/Urbex (it was synonymous back then) were in a state of emotional transition and drains were just a way of physically inhabiting that state.
It’s a little difficult to join community outside of Sydney or Melbourne, unless you account for hard core individuals like Brisbane’s Drain Duck who seem to carry their whole city’s thing themselves for a period of time!
