so I went in anzac drain about last week and I went in with rafts and went in during low tide we checked the rader it was hot day with no rain but when we went in about 70 meters In we kept smelling a very faint gas smell and it kept getting worse the further we went in so we decided to leave not to risk it since our rafts were very s*** and it would take us a while to paddle to the entrance. Does anyone know if they have smelt gas in this drain before.

You can get gas in any drain, especially ones with sewer overflows, it could've been something coming out of a side tunnel or anything tbh. Definitely better safe than sorry
