It's all in the name.

I used to get the big rocks/small boulders and rock them for some cool echoes.

I named it Big Bastard because when we first did it, other people asked "what was it like" to which we responded "it's a big bastard"

One end is flooded, the other is fine... If you're worried about getting clothes dirty or feet dry you probably need to find a different hobby.

Plus this drain takes about 5 minutes to walk through.
It's just an underpass for Gardiner's Ck and not a stormwater drain system.

It's huge, as in the height and width, but it's just not very long.

Also, if you're following Panic's description of a tunnel system that includes photos of Big Bastard, he was just joking.

While Big Bastard’s main appeal is its sheer size, there's not much else to set it apart. It’s worth a visit, but don’t expect too much more.

Just up from Big Bastard are Hexadus. Hexadus was actually the first drain I explored, and I highly recommend it. Be cautious, though—the red bricks are slippery, and there's a large puddle right at the entrance.

Did you go to Hexadus or Macka's Tomb? Macka's is the first one you come to if coming from Big Bastard, it has redbrick but otherwise not super-interesting. Hexadus is a lot nicer and much more to offer feature-wise.

Yeah, the entrance is sweet.
Back in high school, I’ve got fond memories of ditching class to go draining, then sitting at the outflow eating snacks in the summer heat while talking s*** with my mates.

Good times.
