Hi all, pretty new to this forum but not to drain exploration. I revisited Pentridge Drain and it seems the original rectangular entrance I remember is gone and replaced by twin 4foot RCP's?

I went in about 50meters but my torch just showed a straight length after the first bend. Does it turn back to rectangle or has the whole lot been replaced with twin RCP's until it gets to 6foot?

Hopefully i stuffed up the location but this drain was on the west bank - and in line with a street the other side of a creek so I'm reasonably confident it's the same drain. Those who are familiar with it's location can see what the entrance is like on Apple maps... it still has an alcove going to the creek at the entrance.

Would be a shame if Pentridge is like this all the way through. We used to do it on skateboards and get out in a suburban alley after it changes to 6foot.

That is indeed Pentridge Drain. It was extended with those RCPs a few years ago. It's that 4 foot RCP for about 400 metres, then becomes the low rectangle for about 300 metres and then gets up to 5 foot for a while (nice mix of imperial and metric for you there).
