So, today I was going to try crane pull-ups. For those who haven't been following, it's basically doing pull-ups or chin-ups on the jig (or wherever) of the crane. I didn't have any safety gear, but I was determined. Then I took the wrong train, my brain being asleep from late-night gaming. One of those intercity lines and I went so far, that I didn't have enough time to do anything. (Well, I did take a walk along the railway a little bit while I was waiting for the train.)

Just a few minutes ago, I suddenly thought, what if my mistake saved my life? Maybe in another universe, (if you subscribe to the theory of the multiverse), there's a slightly different me who took the right train. Half an hour later, his hands slips off the bar and falls to his death a hundred metres below. Certainly possible considering my arms are not all that strong.

Just a few thoughts. I should cut back while I'm ahead. Stop walking the thin line between stupidity and bravery.

Dude be careful and if you are going to do that kind of stuff take someone with you. Also hit the gym dude, get some upper body strength going.

I have nightmares of doing something that I thought would be safe, and then falling to my death. I think I've been doing too much risky stuff.

Even so, every time I see a crane, whether in real life or in a game, my heart beats faster and I itch to climb something.

I'd have to agree. I only see a few new posts a day, but at least they're high-quality.

I would suggest replacing this thread with a chatbox/shoutbox, it's a bit more suited to the purpose.
