Hey guys,
I'm a QLD local and I've spent some time visiting abandoned/ unused buildings for the purposes of photography.
My favourite visit was a warehouse in Beenleigh a few years back.
I went at the right time because I found out later that most of the amazing art on the walls, along with the building had been trashed.

Hey Mate, welcome to UEGA. I'm from QLD too, I've scouted the same factory but I was in too much of a rush to actually do anything. Awesome stuff though, see ya around on the forums.
