Heyyy everyone!

Been into rooftopping, climbing cranes and photography for a few years now and have a severe addiction to it hahahaha. I'm 18 and moved to brisbane a few months ago and i've been exploring the hell out of the city rooftops/cranes. Definitely keen to get into more grounded exploration like drains and abandoned areas but haven't had the chance. If anyone in brissie is ever keen to do some crane climbing/needs help with it, or show me around some abandoned areas then give me a shout, i'm always down :D

Well from what I'd imagine, if you did happen to be caught, it would be up to the site manager or site owner whether or not to press charges or not. The crime is more the act of trespassing rather than the endangerment, though being 100m up on a crane isn't a good look. Police can arrest you and throw you in a cell for a night or two depending on how your feeling. You always have a risk of being seen by anyone, doesn't matter if they're security or not because the police could be called by workers or some random who just happened to see you. So as long as you don't do any damage or anything, and the site managers having a good day, you should be alright.

Hi there!

I have been arrested for climbing a crane! It was around 5pm on a Sunday afternoon so thats where we f**ed up. It wasn't so bad, someone saw us walking out on the boom and called the cops. Cops came, cornered off the street and hollered at us to come down. We very much obliged and once we got down, they searched our bags and asked to see the footage. We weren't dicks about it and just complied. After about 15 mins, they let us go and told us we would be issued with a court attendance notice. (the cops were honestly great) Went to court and due to (again) not being dicks about it, the judge let us off with a Section 10 no conviction recorded, 12 month good behaviour bond and court costs of about $600. All in all, id say we fared great! I have that arrest report here somewhere. Be careful, don't climb when its raining or lightning around and probably climb early morning or late at night. Good luck and be safe!
