Get a tripod and something that takes photos that don't look like potatoes.

Yep, use a tripod, do multi second exposures, and learn how to "light paint"

Oh, and instead of a subject like "Hey" please use ones related to what you are asking about such as "I would like some tips on urban/dark photography." Because a lot of people will just think your post is another lame newbies post and may not read it.
