Hey, I'm Jo and I'm new.
I live in the country, so the idea of 'urban' exploring down my way is to check out abandoned gold mines / miner sheds / and the like.
There are few old buildings - some abandoned train stations and shearing sheds.
I'm really keen to take in some views in Melbourne - I prefer abandoned buildings to drains - but don't know where to start and would really like to avoid a compromising situation with a junkie or a sudden drop from a tall height!
I will be in Melbourne Fri 02 Feb, so if there is an opportunity to be welcomed or pointed into the direction of anything that would be great.
cheers

Welcome :) I also am interested in which area. I'm more into mine exploration these days (spent a week near ballarat spelunking (love the term) recently and found some interesting spots as vertical access limits most gold fossickers. But I do enjoy ones that are more untouched. Cheers
never die wondering ;)

Untouched mines... turns out theres a LOT of these not to far from my place. Gold and coal :D Actually know of a big coal mine that still has a steam train in it but no one has been able to get in :(
