hey guys, this is actually pretty cool. Was hoping for some tips from some experienced people on your methodology for finding places, particularly in Melbourne.

I understand that we are encouraged to do our own homework but still I'm sure some of you have developed some kind of methodology or formula. (e.g like roaming gentrified/aged suburbs)

Abandoned buildings are quite intriguing but drains too (apparently melb is great for them.)

Drains....
Catch public transport, look out windows. Yes, I'm serious, you will find cool stuff if you do this.
Consult maps, look for liniar like parks or creeks marked on maps.
Google Earth.

Google "Predator's approach to draining"
"Oh! That's YOUR web site!" ... "Yep, that one." http://www.uer.ca/urbanadventure/www.ur ... windex.htm
And read the damn Newbies FAQ and guide to writing a first post! viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4257&p=40693

If looking for abandos look for overgrown areas graffiti run down maybe falling apart. Maybe look for some locations on google. For drains well, that's easy Just look at river and follow them till u find something that looks like a drain outflow.
Defy conformity, ignite change, and shatter their doubts.
