Hello,
Nice to meet you guys and gals, I'm BamBam and i just joined a couple of days ago on the UEGA Forum and wanted to introduce myself.
I am a male and 25 years old. I live in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
I enjoy exploring abandoned buildings, factories, hospitals and hostorical places etc. I have also done a couple of rooftops in melbourne on new constructions, and a few drains which im very interested in doing from now on.
Ive been fascinated with exploring places since i was about 10. My primary school friends and i explored a few derelict houses in my area which sparked the intrest in UrbEx for me.
What are your exploring interests?
Regards
BamBam.
Hey dude,
Welcome to UEGA!
Melbourne is a mecca for drains, you're in the right place for that,
Two of my personal favorite drains out North are Cougars and Burp. Both are quite short and totally different, and worth checking out.
If you ask PANIC! nicely he might even share his maps of Melbourne drains with you, so you can smash out all the drains this holiday season!
In terms of my exploring interests - I'm mostly into topsides, the stranger the better. Every now and then we get to explore something that genuinely doesn't come along very often, some Melbourne explores that really stick out were The Age printing facility on Spencer Street and Pentridge Prison.
Melbourne has a pretty active scene exploring wise, stick around and share some of your adventures and you'll start to meet folks.
Nick
Hey Nick, Thank you for your kind welcoming and reply!
Yeah i agree, Melbourne is a city that has it all, from abandonments to new buildings and awesome drains to explore.
Ive been to BURP and a couple around there, but not to Cougars yet. Ive seen caveclan stickers and aliases in the drains ive been in, so that must be a good sign im going the right way
I most definately would love to know what the drains are called and to know where they are, maybe even go to a few with someone from UEGA. I've found a few from mostly looking out the window during a drive or going somewhere new for a walk.
The age printing facility and the Pentdrige would've been really cool to see when they were abandoned. It seems that most places today are pretty dilapidated and/or damaged by vandals beyond repair and that sucks.
I will put together a post about an explore I've done in the near future and hopefully that gets me to meet new folks!
Bambam.
