I'm Max,

I have always admired the mystique and beauty of the places humanity has left behind, with the freedom that becoming an adult has given me, I intend to start doing a lot more urbex. I like to think I'm not too foolhardy though and am glad to stumble upon such a website where I am perhaps able to draw upon the experience and wisdom of those who have been doing this s*** since before I was born.

peace out!

In Wollongong - all I’ve checked out is Hill 60 and the abandoned mines behind Farmborough but super keen for new things! Especially, say, the cokeworks :)

Is that actual mines or buildings? I've been to some spots up the mountain but it wasn't mines and it's a big trek on foot. No access in a car

Crazy that the first post I see on this site talks about Farmborough, which is where I live. The only abandoned place up here is either the small house in Mount Kembla or the massive tunnel on the railway line. It's sealed shut with a 10m+ high metal gate though, so not really worth visiting.

Are you referring to the old cottages near the graves of the miners? There's definitely stuff up Farmborough too.
