Hi from the GC!

Hey everyone!
My name is Dave, and I'm from the Gold Coast.
New to the site, but not to exploring. Been exploring South East QLD for about 10-11 years now, but just lately I've become interested in the photography aspect of it also.
Last Month I travelled to the US, and was lucky enough to get to visit a bunch of places i've had on my list for years, including Waverly Hills Sanatorium, Centralia, Kings Park Mental Asylum, Bennett College, and Trans-Allegheny Asylum.
I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you around the GC/Bris areas, as at the moment it's just me and my fiancee, and we're running out of cool places to see!!

I really like that first picture, it's like something out of a movie! Always keen to see photos from overseas.

Hi, love the first building! Did you get to sneak into that one? I follow a few insta account that have pics from places like that. One day I'll get to some of my wish list overseas. Welcome

We couldn't get into that first building. The entire complex had a tall barbed wire fence around it, cctv cameras and signs saying there were regular security patrols.
It really didnt look too safe anyway. As you can see, much of the front facade is warped and crumbling. It has been abandoned since 1973.
