Some sneato rooftops in Melbourne

Pictures uploaded without description to Imgur. I don't use instagram etc. so if you want to comment or ask questions here is the place to do it. ;)

Not the tallest rooftops I've been in, but certainly some of the more accessible ones. Eagle eyes and problem solvers can probably work out the addresses for these.

Here's a thing in Chinatown!

Image
It's got a decent sized footprint; spans two alleyways!

Image
Not the tallest, but cool nonetheless!

Image
These look better from higher up, but hey. Another shot of East Melbourne CBD

Image
View of the Melbourne Central Spire, facing North-West

Image
The same building, different angle!

Image
Rooftop gives a nice view of the Lonsdale St Melb-Cent bridge

Image
...But it's really hard getting good photos with that tree in the way!

Image
And a shot facing to the South-East.

Image
Taller than the last one!

I've run out of creative commentary.

The first of these locations requires more than just the standard door magic or climbing skills most rooftops do, and may take a little problem-solving or creative thinking. The latter of these two locations is actually three rooftops interlinked; when you get on the first one there are walkways / ladders leading onto its two neighbouring buildings. Not much tagging on either. The Chinatown one actually had no tags that I noticed; perhaps it's a new find? Or maybe the people who've been up there have some common sense.

Chuck em up in the Aus urbex section or here or both, please yourself, spose just be careful with 'sensitive' locations and access details. If you're the same Cat I've met then you already know what to not post in public forums.. Keen to see some pics anyways!!!

Don't feel like any of these are particularly sensitive...

Hasn't it been ages since you've done basically anything or are you still an active explorer?

I still actively explore, but only legal stuff now days. I did the UEGA Sydney meet up at the Middle Head bunkers a few months ago. The last dodgy stuff I did was in Thailand last year.

I'm kind of conflicted. I've chosen to live a life free of illegal stuff. But the call or Urban Exploring is very strong. I love the photography, the discoveries, the exploration and adventure. So where I can do that legally I do. But yeah if you have a govvy job there are requirements to not break the law, above and beyond the personal values and morals I have. I've always been a very law abiding person, i rive at or below the speed limit, don't do drugs and so on. But yeah, it means seeing places like the Paris Catacombs or Gunkanjima are no go now. That kind of sucks, especially as I think no one would care.

Also, I'm old and fat so yeah, I have trouble climbing stairs and getting out of bed and remembering.... Oh look a butterfly.

Some more shots from last week. Didn't take many photos because of the obvious daytime issues, but there were no locked doors along the way!

So liberal.

It's a showcase so probably does belong in the Australian urbex section.

Whatever...
Just a harmless explorer. No need to waste taxes checking me ;)
