Very new to the scene but wildly keen on putting on some boots, packing my camera and exploring a few of the beautiful urbex haunts this city has to offer. Also open to any advice you may have and I am always open for location suggestions (but I'm more of an uncharted explorer and like to find my own places instead of asking for directions) so I will keep this site updated on my discoveries and experiences along the way.

Also, a lot of people here are noting their preferences, so I'll share that I have a fascination with factories and theme parks (my dream is to explore abandoned theme parks in Japan). I have never explored drains (fear of, you know, being eaten by a ghoul...or a drug addict) but am willing to try anything once!

Thanks for having me here, glad to be apart of something great

Welcome! I'm new too but from Sydney! :) Actually cool that you have an interest in Japan, because I used to live there 2 years ago because I did student exchange, theres a lot of abandoned places in Japan, but abandoned/forgotten temples and shrines are some of the best too! :D

Welcome Acorn! I must say that was a great introduction, that said, I do like factories and Drains!! Drains are unique in that they all have a certain uniqueness about them. You must try one on a dry day and see if it ticks your urbex box's!

Get familiar with Google maps etc and research away, the best reward is actually finding something on your own and then recording it!!

Enjoy

There is actually a surprisingly large number of drug addicts in drains. Heehee 8-)

Some advice; be very careful with anything you attempt at Wolston Park! QPS, Commonwealth and government land are risky to be busted at, and don't rely on other people to take you out - go out there and have your own adventure. Prove to others you're not just a tag along tourist.

Ciao

I explored an abandoned butter factory at Eumundi near Sunshine Coast, you will have to find the exact location for yourself. Type up Eumundi Butter Factory on google images and you will find lots of stunning photos.Image
