It's all about confidence, technique and sheer dumb luck. The first rooftop I ever did (Melbourne) was a 16 story residential structure in the heart of the CBD. We just waited for a resident to activate the sliding doors with a key card and followed them in, made our way to the fire stairs and took them to the top floor. Encountering a maintenance cupboard which was conveniently left ajar we saw a ladder which took us through a trapdoor and low and behold the roof! Now that was sheer dumb luck because we went back the next week and the cupboard was shut and securely locked, 5 minutes later we were on the roof anyway. Technique or sheer dumb luck can get you up there but it's all about having the confidence to just walk into random buildings and try in the first place.rtopexplorer69 wrote:Hey man, if you find any places pls let me know. Shhhhh, I'm an amateur. Still learning how the rooftopping scene works, everyone starts somewhere ayyy. Need to better educate myself on opening locked doors. At least I know more now than I did a month ago on that subject, it's all a work in progress.Vicinity wrote:Echo wrote:The first only rooftop I ever did![]()

There is only 1 roof above 20 stories in Melbourne that you can walk into so your advice really has no applicationmr india wrote:..educate yourself on not getting caught with unlocking equipment - best rule of thumb is stick to places you can simply walk into, not ones that need "technique" or "equipment"
