Bit more about myself ha ok - uhm moving to Newcastle next year or late this year for uni + abandonment's. Got into urbex by a random chance that my friend showed me a picture of the sadly demolished glebe tram sheds when I was 15 and from then I've been addicted. Have been trying to remove myself from this apparent "urbex" youth scene in Sydney, with great difficulty because of my use of tumblr as a medium for sharing my photography {I'm sure so of you know of this 'scene' I am talking of - defiantly want to specify I am very disgruntled that I have been boxed into it, wish to exit it asap, and do not think things like spot drops/pictures of northface jackets are of any relevance to what urbex truly is - rant over}. Basically I joined this site to connect with some people who I know are quiet true to the urbex form and whom have a genuine love of exploring, not gaining followers/notes on some social networking site.Titan wrote:Welcome to UEGA, bit more about yourself
There are some in the Cave Clan, and I'm sure there are plenty more out there, including this forum.Visual-Nirvana wrote:I do have a slightly random question - for anybody to answer: are there many female urbexer's in Sydney? Am friends with a few but was wondering if there were anymore out there?????Titan wrote:Welcome to UEGA, bit more about yourself
Just a note that if you are moving to newcastle/central coast there is a lot to see, but the members over there have been pretty quiet lately. I tried to organise a trip to newcastle and central coast with a couple of members there to revisit some places and check out potential new places but since given up for now after no one responded even after via PMs.Visual-Nirvana wrote:

I've already sussed at least 10-15 places just from catching the train line towards the greater hunter region - have never really used any forum/tips b4 to find locations so I'm sure I should be fine but help is always welcome of course, and are greatly appreciated. Perhaps when I move up there and/or go to further acquaintance myself with the region a few eager bodies could join in on the fun.Just a note that if you are moving to newcastle/central coast there is a lot to see, but the members over there have been pretty quiet lately.
Most of the locations I spotted from the train are places that might not be worth your time - they were little places, some houses, some small factory buildings - places that would make great photographic opportunities for me to document, not so much areas to enjoy exploring........So I would think only half of what you see is accessible.
There are a couple of threads on it.Visual-Nirvana wrote:the place that I really want to explore is the south fremantle power station, now that would be phenomenal - anyone been there??
And how do you know I won't like it? Considering that we haven't met yet you sound like you know me quite well!Visual-Nirvana wrote:Most of the locations I spotted from the train are places that might not be worth your time.theedge wrote:So I would think only half of what you see is accessible.
