New to Melbourne

Hey guys, Me and a mate are just getting interested in exploring around Melbourne, we live in Geelong but were looking to get into some areas new to us. Neither of us know Melbourne very well (at all) and we were looking for some suggestions on what areas/suburbs to start with. Any help would be awesome!

I too am in Geelong most of the time. I've done a fair share of exploring in Melbourne though and am there every second weekend or so. You only do abandonments or are you interested in drains as well? Interested in meeting up perhaps? I'm sure I could show you some things. There are so many wonderful things in Melbourne I wouldn't even know where to tell you to start.
