I have a Canon 650D and have been having some issues with it lately...
It won't turn on. ;(
I've charged the battery many times, it says it's reached 100% charge, put it in my camera body... nothing?
FIgured I might take this issue to UEGA before I took it to a repair place, just in case I'm doing something little wrong (I'm new and amateur when it come to photography, remember  )
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and any ideas of ways I can fix it?
Thanks heaps, Kais. :)

maybe check the battery compartment switch is working?
have you tried another battery? there are a few canon users up here, maybe they'll let you try their battery in your camera - can't help you there though

As NoPro says battery compartment switch, others to check is the hidden CR2016 battery in the side of the battery compartment, used for storing date/time etc, that maybe corroded/flat causing the issue, but a wild shot!. The Compact flash model has a switch under the CF slot check that if you have one, check the SD/CF card flap too, as that has a switch located on it!

I have fixed a 400D with the same issue and it was an onboard fuse blown!, mammoth job to get to (strip camera right down), then replace fuse-link.
You could try turning it on with battery compartment open and use a very small toothpick to press the compartment switch further than the lid itself as the switch may have a broken element, also try with the CF/SD card slot.

Other than the suggestions above consult a Canon dealer!, is it very old/new/warranty etc Google has some very good online resources for camera fixes, you could also try them!

Good Luck

If you're in Sydney, I'd be happy to take a look at it for you. It'll take maybe half an hour at a cafe somewhere.
Subscribe to my journal to see random exploration photos.
Where are the cat emoticons?

The access light that flashes etc when the card is being written to, does it illuminate at all when you close the battery door?
I put a "No Trespassing" sign on the fence. Now no one will enter.
