I'm super bored today and I'm in the mood for a long train ride so I'm going to go to the power plant at stanwell park. I was wondering if it's abandoned, in use or patrolled if anyone's been there recently that'd be helpful.

okay so i ended up going with a friend and realised the plant was at __ not stanwell park (luckily i didnt get off the train at stanwell park wouldve been a treck of a walk) we were only there for about 40mins because he had to go back to city but it was amazing i wanted to spend the whole day there.

once the train left the station we walked off the tracks up a makeshift road into bush land there were signs everywhere saying the area was monitored. once we walked up the road it opened up into a huge area which i can only describe as a basin, that lead to a carpark and a set of offices which were completly trashed by squatters and really bad graffiti artists. once we made it through the bungalo of ransacked buildings we got to a huge opening again where you could see all of the plant which is broken up into about 6 buildings.

wouldve loved to stay longer and explore the whole place, might go down by myself and try climb up some of the structures which are still intact (the one we did go to, the ladder had fallen off)

Nice work phem! great piece of exploration , I like ur shots and look forward to seeing more of your work!
The only suggestion I would make is that you not reveal the location by name, as this is posted in an open part of the forum anyone can see it!!
This may bring the integrity/current state of the location to be compromised!!

Great second post by the way :)

It's a really nice place. Definitely worth spending a bit of time at.

p.s. removed the location for the above reasons

Thanks for sharing!
