Its always interesting what everyone takes with them on an average day of urbex, so I was just wondering what kit everyone uses and what other cool gadgets they keep in their bag!

Laser pointers, clip on wide angle lenses for phones, 20000mah USB battery, extensive range of USB cables, UV & standard LED torches, AAA batteries, Bluetooth headset, Leatherman, Grid-It. Pen & notepad, ziplock bags.

I think thats all...

What do you use the UV torch for? (I've got two UV torches as well but I don't carry it as part of my everyday exploring gear!)

Mostly highlighting paint now, granted I havent pulled it out often but it doesn't take up much bag realestate.

It originally made it in my bag after I bought a stupid amount of small glow in the dark dinosaurs - quickly charged them up and shot them in dark places. - No idea where those photos are now :(.

Haha nice! I used to have a bunch of glow in the dark toys as well. No idea where they went.

So after I've swapped out my kit lens for my newer one, and added the flash... my bag comes in at about 10kg... I think I need a new bag; I couldn't possibly carry less crap with me.

Basics: Full charged phone; water-proof casing, extra t-shirt, 2 or 3 torches, preferably charged, camera bag; (dslr & external flash - extra batteries), 5m rope, first aid kit, gloves, some food (pack a sandwich, you will appreciate it infinitely once you're starving at the top of a rooftop or crane, or 10m underground).

Incredibly stupid s*** people have brought: throwing knife, cans or bolt cutters, (try and stay mobile and carry the least amount of incriminating material), weed, school-bag.

Pack smart.

I usually carry spare socks, maybe spare shoes a torch or two, my phone, two apples and some water. Never been a heavy packer I usually only take the essentials in my opinion, always take the necessities and if your cautious bring those extra batteries for your torch or some rope for slides, pack smart.

I never take a bag draining. I've found the travel light approach to work best. A pair of torches from the supermarket, a permanent marker and what I have on me at all times (wallet, phone, keys, etc) is all I generally take. Saves a lot of pain when you're in a crawlpipe!

Nowadays I also take a few spare batteries and sometimes I'll need to bring some water or snacks if it's a long haul.

All the regular stuff like a head torch, LED handheld torch, multitool, first aid kit, et cetera, but the weirdest thing I always carry is a bag of spearmint jelly beans

Well...

-One of those stupid, dolphin torches. For lighting the eternal abyss.
-First aid kit. For those RARE (and I mean rare) events I MIGHT actually need it.
-A camera. To take those sweet sweet shots (;
-Junk food and soft drink. cause waters for f*****g plebs.
-lockpicks. Yes, I bring lockpics. I prefer them to BOLT CUTTERS!
-Screw drivers. For when I cant pick the lock(Dont worry I dont take off the lock, I bypass the latch)

So Yer this is more or less the contents of my bag right now.
Will change later of course maybe add some mace and smoke bombs for the surprise run in's with those pesky bureaucrats.

any ways,
