I've been doing Urbex of sorts for a few years in Canada. it began with my job allowing me to go to places for the purpose of taking measurements and drawing up renovation & redevelopment packages for clients. 95% of those places are disused buildings of no interest, but sometimes there's some really amazing places. Curiosity becomes obsession. I've certainly got some unique pictures on the servers at work.
Anyway, I and my girlfriend are doing a gap year in Australia and we are planning to do a fair amount of Urbex in 2016. So far I've found the locations of many of the popular drains, abandoned bldgs and sites in Sydney, Melbourne & Canberra. Brisbane is proving more difficult to do from a computer 1/2 way around the world.
We hope to meet other UEGA members while staying in Australia. We hope to be in touch.
