Check out the knog qudos. It's a action camera tourch that comes with a camera flash attachment with 8 brightness settings there around 120 to 150 depending how good at bartering you are but for a tourch with a reasonable battery life (which is rechargeable) and is also water proof for 40m it's deffinatly something you guys might want to check out

Bunnings now have a 700 lumens Eiger torch for $28-29 bucks does High,Low and Strobe settings, they also have another box set of 3, 240 lumens each torches for $22.
I bought the 700 and my god it's bright, every Cockatoo in the trees near me took flight when I shone it on them, so it's worth it for the peace alone!!

The LED Lenser P7QC is RGBW, and quite a few camping stores should stock it. A few other brands do RGBW torches such as Klarus and Nitecore, through they have more of an online presence. You can colour mix with a bit of practice to get yellow and pink/purple.

However, I'm not aware of any commercially available torches in Australia that can do more than 4 colours such as the one in the link.

A cheap option is to use cellophane gels on white light torches. There are also many light painting wands that can do multiple colours, but I don't think that is what you are looking for.

I got to muck around with the X21 Led Lenser tonight. 3200 Lumens.

Lighting up entire CBD buildings around a KM away.

I was in Office Works the other day and they had a box of small torches at the front counter. they through a serious light and cost about $4 each. I bought a handful of them.
You can never have too much light.

Use that in a drain and you would end up with fried cockroaches in a few seconds!

I reckon online is the best place to purchase stuff like that, unless you like getting ripped off :p

I want a lockpick set so I can legally pick my own bedroom door lock.

Lol. Funnily enough, my bedroom lock is a proper lock and not the straight flat hole it normally would have. I've also misplaced the key for it... Last time I got locked out, I had to get into my room through the fly-screen, the lock on the balcony door and then the lock on the security gate behind it.

Luckily my pick set was outside and not stuck in the house with the keys.

Back onto subject, here is a rather geeky photo of my current torch collection (minus LED Lenser K2 keyring torch).

1) LED Lenser P7QC Quattro - useful for anything that requires colour (red, green, blue), or a bright (200+ lumen) daylight tint soft edge beam.
2) Energizer 3 in 1 Torch - has a warm/yellow tinted soft edge beam, or cool white 180 degree area light. Can be stood up on legs.
3) Xstreem HP Focus 1W - low cost, hard edge cool white light from Coles. Useful for projecting shadows, or when a defined zoom-able beam is required.
4) Varta 5 LED headlamp - cool white soft edge light. Useful for light washing a small spaces, or just lighting the path ahead.
5) Arlec utility light - very cheap utility light from Bunnings (I have four), often used with gels for static colour lighting small spaces. Also, potentially useful during power-cuts!
6) Flashlight diffuser - from DX.com, fits most small/medium torches, useful for static area wash, or for when the light source is in the image.

Im looking at a rechargeable spot light from Jaycar. I really need one for railway tunnel photgraphy. Truthfully, your torch collection is impressive. I always carry a few glow sticks in my pocket as well, just for good measure.

Aside from the LED Lenser, my torch collection is rather "cheap and nasty" (lower bin LEDs, disposable batteries, lower build quality) but does the job. Torches from the serious manufacturers such as Klarus, Eagletac, Armytek, Fenix, etc will have better quality LEDs (higher bin LEDs, rechargable lithium ion batteries, better build quality). However, it is difficult to justify spending $99 on these over a $25 Bunnings special if the latter does the job.

If I was to start my torch collection from scratch, and money was no object, I would purchase:
LED Lenser P7QC - easiest to use bright RGBW torch.
Armytek Wizard Pro v2 (Warm) - warm white light headtorch/pocket attached torch, 120 degree beam *
Armytek Prime C2 Pro - cool white light*

* both use 18650 li-ion rechargable batteries, and can do approx. 1000 lumens, though for URBEX they can be used on much lower brightness with corresponding extended battery life.

This would come to around $300, and would cover off RGB, warm, cool, beam, and area-light lighting options.

Wow, you certainly know your torches.
I get all of mine from the cheapy box at places like Auto One and Repco. You can get some decent stuff for around $10. I alwaysa make sure I have at least 3 of them though.

Has anyone has any experience with the Led Lenser M7R? I would prefer something slightly warmer, but apart from that, the lumen range and the ability to adjust it is something I value, as well as the focus beam capability. The battery life as well as the charging options is handy too, so I'm considering just getting that and maybe using a yellowish filter cap when I want a warmer light for photos.

I have the MT7, which is the non-rechargeable version of that.
Great torch, compact and durable.
Focus is excellent. You don't get the square LED silhouette at full zoom either.
Lumens are enough. Something brighter would occasionally be nice for big chambers, but is enough for drains.
Battery life will probably be different being li-ion, so can't comment on that.

But has heaps of cool features like you can make it stay full brightness and cut off when the batteries are flat rather than gradually fading as voltage drops.
It's also nice that you can disable the SOS and flasher if you want, so you're not toggling through those modes just to switch between high and low brightness.
10/10 would recommend.
