Greetings! The name's Schmeil. Foutis Schmeil

I've been exploring casually for several years now around sunny BNE and rural China. Though I explored some locations intermittently as far back as 2000, I didn't call myself an explorer and hadn't heard the terms Urbex etc back then.

My first infiltration to a place I shouldn't be was 1999/2000 new years South Bank Parklands, where I invited myself into South Bank House for the SB Corporation NYE party. All went well until myself, posing as Lesley's son, introduced myself to Lesley. I was soon back downstairs with the common people but not before welcoming in the new year and getting a little tipsy on their account. RIP SB Corp!

From there a friend and I, lets call him Bollard, (he knackered himself & flipped head first over a groin-height bollard after being kicked out of SB House that night), came up with a new game to see how far we can get in buildings we shouldn't be in. Basically Rooftoping in open and trading buildings posing as the maintenance guy. Hours of fun and very easy back then. The fun ended post Sep11 as obviously and rightly so, security stepped up significantly. We certainly weren't doing anything wrong but it's important not to get in the way of or cause any problems for security who have an important job to do keeping us all safe in this great city.

Skip forward several years and I've been exploring abandonments in and around BNE and China

Rooftops, Drains and currently in-use buildings don't interest me. I am completely against senseless vandalism, graffiti, damage, theft and all things criminal. I strictly adhere to the unwritten rules of exploring. Have never taken a souvenir or anything from an explore and I've never broken anything.

Have plenty to share with you all!

Welcome. You're a company director, wouldn't happen to have any affiliation with Nmcgregor, who recently joined the forum looking for abandonments exclusively, by chance? Can't find any info about you online, so I'm assuming that's a fake/urbex name as well? Using a real name usually isn't a good idea, but I suppose if you're not doing rooftops or live buildings, plus not vandalising or anything of the sorts, it probably isn't that big of a deal.

No I don't know that person. I didn't join 'looking' for abandonments. There's a few elusive ones I haven't found yet but it looks like many people are searching for those too. I already know of plenty and I have fun scouting.

I meant interested in abandonments, not location leeching. Do you have any photos by chance of recent explores? :)

Detective Phytrix. Wouldn't be too hard for someone (Aydun) to check that!

But welcome Foutis!
