Hi all,

Am from Canberra. Been exploring on and off for a few years, but have lacked friends who were interested, so I signed up!
I am very interested in photography so I find urbex an excellent reason to go out and shoot.

Would love to know if anyone knows of any locations near or in Canberra. :D

Welcome! A couple of us spent a weekend in Canberra not too long ago. Shame we didn't get a chance to do something together then!

Welcome to the forum! Up until last month, I was a Canberra local, so I might be able to help you get started once you assimilate into the forum a little bit more :)

Apart from that, Dross still lives in Canberra and is very friendly, I'm sure he'll be willing to meet up with you if you shoot him a message. He's also a photography guru 8-)

Decimalz also knows Canberra very well, but I'm not sure how often he gets down there nowadays.

What have you seen so far in Canberra? Do you have any pictures?

Thanks for the welcomes! I have just walked up a few drains and been to an orphanage in Goulburn.

I have a flickr and an art blog that both feature my photography, there's not much urbex on either of them yet. But soon! Wouldn't mind some more photography buddies.
Recently went in to see the Temple of Doom, in the drains, those pictures will be up tomorrow-ish.

Awesome I'll have to check out your Flickr when I get to a computer :) Secret Squirrels is a great drain (the one with Temple of Doom in it), probably the best in Canberra. Did you have any luck exiting through the top end, or could you not squeeze through the grate?

And yeah Goulburn orphanage is pretty great, lots of history around that place!

Definitely a good drain to visit, ye! Ah, I went in and out at the bottom end, just because of where I had parked my car.
