I broke my laptop screen, gotta buy a $90 replacement :(

Also just went to Checkmate, does anyone know the water situation a couple hundred meters last the take a seat junction? I was wearing long pants and had later obligations so stopped there as I would've gotten wet, but how long does it go for and how deep does it get?

That's not that bad actually. A current-gen smartphone LCD digitiser replacement is like close to $200 parts only. Granted it does have the touch overlay, but it's also a lot smaller. Money is money though.

I hope you weren't in this situation.

I remember playing a game of menu memory on my old Nokia brick in primary school. Change the language to something random and attempt to change it back. Back in the days where you had to invent your own games to pass the time. Once I changed it to Chinese and I couldn't get it back so I had to get help from my parents. Lol.

Don't think that's the tide, I'm talking about between the Gabba and the bridge entry

yes, more often than not can't get to that side pipe due to the tide, but where did you reckon it was up to? highest i've seen has still been a fair bit down from the open pit section

Hit the water maybe 100m or so before entry to the 3rd pipe is possible. Walked all the way up past the birdcage before we decided to turn back, before heading down the 3rd pipe and turning back when the pipe shrinked from a 1.5m to be a little lower. I don't imagine there's anything worth exploring past there? Also didn't get a chance to head down south of the dry entry, which is where I'm told the chimney and a few other features are located, so will have to get back there soon :) got a few decent shots though thanks to all the tips I received from Unclehaggs, so I'll have to upload those tomorrow

Cheer up Midget, watch a movie and relax or something

On the topic of movies, I've watched a bunch this week. A few of the better ones were:

Electrick Children, a story about a religious girl who is impregnated with the son of God and believes the man off a song she heard to be the father. She then tracks down the man and it documents her journey in doing so. The movie is a lot better than I make it seem, and you definitely don't have to be religious to enjoy it (I'm not).

Sidewalls, a Spanish movie that documents the story of 2 people that suffer from loneliness in a big city. It's very artistic and draws a lot of very interesting comparisons between things in everyday life (architecture, plants) and life itself.

The Imposter, a documentary and true story about a French man that adopts the identity of a missing child in Texas. Has a lot of reenactments and current day interviews with people of interest (the man himself, the family, FBI officials, etc.).

Yeah it's pretty crazy, must be really traumatic for the families though. I wouldn't be surprised if his brother murdered him though, it would fit the details pretty well. Guess they'll never know...
