Nylex Clock Security

How secure is the site now that a bit of public attention has surrounded the clock recently?: http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/were- ... 31qct.html

Has anyone here been up there recently? Did you run into any trouble? Could you access it?

If anyone have any pointers, tips or guides as to getting on the roof, pm me; anything is appreciated.

Security was all lax until around December someone opened the door to the top and then there was all the public attention about it being turned on. Then heaps of graffiti was painted on the side and the top and now theres 24/7 security and all the gates and entry's have been locked up.

I wouldn't touch it. All the easy access points have been fixed and I've heard rumors of people being pulled up by the cops trying to get in. Having been up there ages ago, I can say it's not all that exciting, better off doing something bigger/better if you're gonna run that kind of risk.

I went to take a look at it on Sunday afternoon. Noted a few points of possible entry, and also saw one 2 man security patrol. As well as these black boxes. Idk what they were but I saw one on a roof and one on the inside of a wall. It was just a small black plastic box with 2 padlocks on it and a wire that ran from it to an antenna like thing that had something that looked like a black tennis ball ontop of it. No idea what they were.
I might go back and give it a shot but probably try at night rather than the afternoon.

Dont go during the day, you will be spotted by local residents and the police will attend.

If you must, go at night. Be aware if you get caught, you will be charged. Its one of the places that being friendly and explaining you were only taking photos will not get you off.

went there a couple weeks ago found easy way in during day. but the stairwell has a metal door and cage so cant get to top

i went there recently, phresh is correct, there was a door. i brung some tools and got in. the door turned out too be silent alarmed, we heard sirens and ran... we were only on top for a short while! as we left there were 2 cop cars out side so we ran.... managed to get away. so if you're planning to go there, it is open. but go at night. to easy to get spotted. i can give you afew directions on how to get up there if you want, PM me
