Found this bad boy today. Looked a bit like an Eastern Brown, the 2nd most venemous land snake in the world o.O Anyone care to shed some light on this? Apologies for the poor quality photo, the grill took it >.> Plus every time we moved the light away, it'd move a little bit (like move it's neck or slide just a tiny bit, but stop when we lit it up again).

I don't know anything about snakes, so I run from every one.

Yeah that seems pretty smart. The person I was with got a bit spooked, so we turned back. May have ventured further but we knew a storm was coming regardless, so we wanted to get out relatively quickly.

This weekend I learnt that I am an idiot and gambling is called gambling for a reason.
Total loss = $285
Somehow all the favorites I bet on lost....
Now I'm a poor idiot.
Lesson learnt I think.

On another topic... does anyone know anything about bats? I've had a couple of experiences now where I've been leaving/nearing the exit of a tunnel and have heard loud sounds that resembles that of rapidly flowing water, although this has only occurred in batcaves. Obviously, as a precaution, I exited said tunnels relatively quickly, although is it likely that the sounds were simply the bats fluttering about? It just seems like a much more elevated and intense sound in comparison to when I'm entering a batcave/standing among the bats.

If either or both of you dislike the other, just ignore/avoid that person *whistles*

Just keep whistling mate, I don't need to be told how to deal with my problems.

Your ability to take constructive criticism is one of your most admirable traits.

Me?
That's because been "fun" didn't make people happy. So the reason you haven't seen me posting as much and I've changed my online status to hidden is because I'm taking some peoples advice and "going off the radar" so to say. I post less and generally only post things that are constructive or of interest instead of just post whoring on everything.

Yeah well I think never bet full stop.... I don't think I'll be betting on anything for a while.
Richmond lost to Melbourne -$100
Storm lost to the Sea Eagles -$100
Titans beat Warriors +23.50 (these guys weren't favorites and I only put $10 on them to win...)
Port Adelaide is killing Hawthorn -$85

Favorites suck.... Betting sucks... Gambling sucks...

Most economists would refute this statement and do so with both theoretical calculations/predictions and practical application. Punters act irrationality and, according to prior economic theory, quite unconventionally. This screws up the idealistic argument that a free-market economist would propose and, in the majority of sports gambling situations, would favour the gambler placing their odds on the favourites. Of course, only being a student, my economic understanding is restricted, although this seems to be how the situation plays out in the real world.

The whole 'never bet on favourites' myth, if you will, relies on economic theory, although sports gambling is an anomaly in the face of market behaviour.

But at the end of the day, a better rule would be to never bet unless you have a specific set of skills/knowledge that would increase your odds to be higher than 50%, which is also assuming you receive utility from said act and gamble both frequently and responsibly.

TLDR: Echo had unfavourable odds coupled with some bad luck.

Is there some sort of governing body that ensures an even left/right dispersal of fuel filler points in new cars?

So a year ago today I did this little road trip... was so good. Didn't do any 'sploring though except at Parliament House.

Why do no cars have fillers behind the numberplate? That would solve all the worlds problems. I'm looking at you, XD Falcon

Because boot storage is good, and it would be a hazard if you got rear-ended.

I was really wondering because I was trying to get fuel at a big servo the other day, and all the left-side pumps were taken, but about there were 7 out of 10 right side pumps spare.

Surely there's some standard to ensure all cars don't have them all on the one side!

Have tried. Some servos won't allow it, and will not activate your pump!
