Would hitting up a (usually) heavily secured location on ANZAC day be beneficial? As in, can I count on there being less/no security, or should I not bother with the trip?

If a place has security, on a day like ANZAC day I think it would be more likely there be more rather than less security.

You think so? That's unfortunate :/ I was hoping they'd be a bit lax considering that it's on the opposite side of the city where the big ANZAC events are being held, but I suppose it's anyone's guess

Nah it's completely unrelated, so I guess I'll take my chances anyway, not a huge deal if the trip isn't worth it

In other ANZAC news, the main ANZAC drain entrance was having more work done on it today.. Not sure what though, couldn't see.

Wanna do Anzac ;) I can take you in at an upstream manhole if you'd like to avoid the people and the dam.
Wander often. Wonder always.

Testing how good iPhone camera is. :P (The photo is a lot sharper than that. TinyPic seems to have compressed it.)

Yeah the iPhone camera is surprisingly good. It focuses very easily and its auto-adjustment of light is pretty reliable, at least for day shots.

What I've found out, is that highlight recovery is next to none, even when saved in TIFF format. So whatever you do, underexpose. :P

Lost some photos from my SD card (long story short, I installed some codec with my SD card plugged in and it required a format). I installed a recovery program and it showed that the photos are still in my system, although this particular program (SDHC Card Recovery) requires a key in order to recover the files. Does anyone know of an alternative method?

Recuva. I've used this multiple times, I think you may have to pay to get the "full version", but the free one/trial is very, very good and it's all you need. (Unless it's changed since I've had it.)

Thanks dudes 8-) Worked well, found the photos I was after.

In other news, the Canberra winter has commenced :( It was a flat 2 when I went to bed last night
Also, classes have started back up again, so I have like 2 weeks of procrastination left before I actually have to start doing work again.

Grats Crispex :3 I am still using the free trial of Lightroom but may invest in a full version (or try to find a key), and unfortunately I don't think you can use the free trial on mobile. :(

I'm having issues getting everything in the photo focused on when I'm using my wide-angle lens... am I doing something wrong, do I have a shitty lens, or is that just how it works? Here is an example:

You're using a cheap wide-angle adapter, which is never a good thing. Get the real thing.

I'm on the CC trial at the moment, works just like paying.
