It actually looks better now than when it was open. It was more tragic than magic.

The place is mostly swamp nowadays. The giant boot is still there in the middle of the swamp land, but as Hidden_world found out, the swans are very aggressive and there are some huge eels in that water. Probably not worth the trip out imo, there are a couple of collapsing buildings and a stomach-high wade just to see a giant boot.

I took the hire car work provided and drove up to where the slide was a while ago, bread crates in the boot, ready to go, only to find it gone.
I did however find some cool stuff nearby, there's an abandoned pub just up the road next to the Enhance Landsdown servo if you wanted to make the trip at least see both.

Lady_G wrote:Heya,

As promised, here's a pic I took from a favourite lost place of mine.

Have lots more photos from places, am thinking of starting a blog on Sydney exploring this year. Will put more pics up once that's set up.

Am new here, so not sure what rules are on photos/sharing but I ask if you could not use this pic without my permission. Ta!

I meant during the Easter Show. And hey, urban explorers don't get arrested, they just grow older. :)
