How Do You Enjoy Urbex?

Well thought id start a little thread on how each individual enjoys urbex?
For Example I listen To Hardcore Thunderdome Through a speaker at full blast listening to the music bounce off the walls
whilst i ride my BMX at full pelt and coast down a drain and canal i think for me going through smallish canals on a bmx is the best cause you go so fast you have to be quick to duck your head so you don't hit it on an overpass or road above, i do the rock top drain in my area and a bunch of drains around and in marrickville.

Onto a more derelict subject Do narcotics and drains mix in your opinion?
I was thinking LSD during draining ? but it has its risks haha (don't attack me We live in 2015 where nearly everyone is on something, everyone is entitled to an opinion)

SO THAT'S ME WHAT ABOUT YOU?

I don't think talking about drugs on a semipublic forum such as this is a good idea.

Back on topic. I bought a Bluetooth speaker purely for taking down drains. I like to find a nice spot to sit and just chill out and listen to my music.
Wander often. Wonder always.

Agree with Echo. Not sure talking about illicit drug use is a good idea.

I was exploring a gasworks with some friends a few years ago and one of them brought along a harmonica to play. It was such good background music!

I think you're getting 2010s mixed up with the '70s o_O

I generally just listen to music when I'm solo exploring, and when I'm with friends I just chat. Sometimes a bit of spliff, but I don't usually feel so compelled. As for transport, I prefer walking over riding through drains as you can appreciate each and every part, instead of speeding past and missing out on intricacies.

Oh yes and I too much prefer walking. I like crawling down side pipes too. And wriggle pipes are awesome if they actually go somewhere like an exit.
Wander often. Wonder always.

Oh trust me I know plenty of people who do use illicit things while doing urbex and while not doing it. I myself have not touched those things nor do I desire to.

That's me too. Besides, I spend way too much money on camera gear and cars that I barely have enough to eat.

I like to explore quietly, but then again, I'm more into infiltration than drains.

How Do You Enjoy Urbex? simple by just doing it!!!!!!

UH

No alcohol, no drugs, no music, just the peace and quiet, momentarily broken by a shutter click! and sharing creativity with light with my son in places that only a very few get to see!

DON'T DO DRUGS, they are bad for your body. And I'm talking legal and illegal ones, go full-on Jahovas Witness and ignore your doctor's advice - Panadol, pfft who needs that. Don't smoke, don't drink, don't ride motorbikes, or drive cars for that matter. Do you ride a pushbike? Well you have a death-wish, get rid of it pronto!
And whatever you do, don't go in drains, or tunnels, or bunkers, don't eat peanuts, these things can all KILL you!!
Sharks bite, dogs bark, and don't even get me started on ex-GF's-

And to keep this post on topic, I just stay in my bedroom and play computer games and watch porn and post in UEGA, it's so much safer than actually living my life. :\

Be careful with that porn. Remember that dude who jerked it heaps 'til he died?

Usually I won't play music if I'm somewhere I'm more likely to run into people and don't have a good view of my surroundings. Probably wouldn't be as much of a problem with those of you who do drains? Today I did sit up the top of a silo and listen to some music though. An ex of mine used to sing Dubliners songs sometimes which was nice.
Having a Coke always contributes to my urbex experience tho.

Yeah I usually listen to music when solo-draining as there really isn't that much to hear in terms of surroundings. When infiltrating, I don't bother with music as I like hearing if people are approaching and you can actually hear the surroundings a lot of the time.

Yeah listening to music is a bit antiproductive if you're trying to sneak into somewhere.

I do enjoy the infiltration and the initial explore of something I haven't done before, I love riding my bikes (Avanti 29er or my Honda) in drains, usually riding through canals to find outfalls and whatnot :D
I haven't had music while exploring but that sounds cool! and never taken drugs smoked or drank. i'm a fitness freak!
fitness' whole burger in my mouth
