Underage explorers

Just wondering if there is any legal issues I may face if I explore with someone under the age of 18 and they get injured or killed or something?
Can anyone advise me on this.

Nah like seriously. There's this 13 year old that wants to explore with me and to be honest I don't give a f*** about age. As long as they act mature I couldn't care less but I'm kinda worried about the legal s***.

I'm sure the legal system could come up with something. As a minor, they're under your duty of care, so I'd say there'd be a certain element of legal responsibility and accountability there.

I was giving this kid the benefit of the doubt cos he has an Instagram with over 700 followers and some nice pictures. But I don't want to be responsible if something happens to him so I've wished him luck and told him to keep exploring just not with me.

Been trying to for like half a year. Brisbane CC I caught in a bit of a hiatus in terms of New Explorer Expos, and Canberra CC is dead, so have been trying to keep in contact for a while. Oh well :v

When you're in Melbourne I may be able to take you along to a CC expo. Depends on who's organizing it. Melbourne are a friendly bunch.

I only said it cos at the last expo I asked the organizer if I could bring a friend and he said yes. So maybe things are different in Sydney....
