How do you carry your equipment?

Cameras, torches, whatever you bring. How do you carry around stuff? I'm looking for something to carry camera and urbex equipment, padding would be preferred.

I have a Lowepro Orion Daypack 200 at the moment but definitely looking for something in a hard-shell or generally more rugged construction.

Lowepro passport sling is good for when you're not carrying much. Camera, 2nd lense, water bottle, torch, remote, wallet, phone

I use the $30 Caden Triangle Camera Bag from ebay
It has tripod straps and can carry my dslr camera, tripod, rice pod, water bottle, knee pad & a couple of torches
You can climb with it, and the shoulder strap is easily adjusted for when you have to walk through belly button high water

The only problem with the bag is that the tripod straps become unadjusted
So I had to sew up the tripod straps to fit and now they work like a charm (easy to do)
& I cut the chest strap off. Its a discrete bag & its just big enough for a 4hr explore

I have been on over 300 urban explorations with this bag

it is an been an Awesome camera bag for me

I usually just carry a Considerable Embarrassment or a 6 Million Dollar Home. Nothing like water resistance and a lifetime warranty. Lol. Tripod goes either on the bag if it's light, or in my hands. 3KG+ tripod is no fun when attached to a shoulder bag.

I wore a Badlands Monster when I used to shoot pests a few years ago. Don't think it was airtight, but it survived more than a few chest deep river crossings with unprotected electrical goods inside, as well as keeping my extra ammo nice and dry. Bought it when I was still a 1st year apprentice, so it must've been relatively cheap.

Had about a dozen different sized pockets that I was hard pressed to fill even if I planned to be away from camp for more than 12 hours. Had loops on the side for carrying anything that wouldn't fit in the pockets or the main compartment, but I never found a use for them, but did use the loops on the underside to carry a tent, self inflating sleeping mat and a sleeping bag. Also has a zip compartment for a 1L water bladder.

Was very comfortable, even when fully packed. Not once did a strap or anything get in the way when I was shooting.

Also, if you somehow manage to kill the bag, even if it 's your fault, it comes with a lifetime unconditional warranty. The only expense you'll have to make is on shipping to the manufacturer. If they can't fix it, they'll send you a brand new one.

The only thing I've had to replace on mine were the zip pulls with small zip ties.

Also, the top straps can come off and be stored in a little compartment inside the top of the bag

I got this little kerjigger in the mail today...

Hoping to not having to wrap the neck strap around my hand ever again, this is somehow more restrictive.

Nice! I prefer the neck strap myself as I can chuck it over my shoulder when I need my hands free.

I've never tried a nice hand strap though... tempted to try one.

I just use a backpack. I find that most camera bags are too small, and considering I ride my bike to most local sites, anything that hangs around my neck or shoulder becomes very restrictive. Only problem is that you have to dig around a little bit to find things, so I usually bring a jacket with a lot of pockets to store things in when exploring.

Nowadays, I carry two shoulder bags most of the time plus a tripod when I explore. I'm like a tank, heavy and slow, but I have everything I need. I'll probably get a small backpack for exploring now that I think about it, but I basically always carry the one bag for everything, which means I'll never forget the small stuff I need. My messenger bag is literally more organised than my room.

If I'm not carrying a lot of camera gear, I just use a Kanga Tek sling; otherwise that and my camera bag.

I use a Lowe Pro Fastpack 250. Camera can easily be extracted from the side of the backpack with it still over one shoulder (useful in drains). Top compartment has enough room for a collection of torches, and there is a side pocket for water bottle. It lacks a tripod attachment, though I usually just hang the tripod from the waist strap. It's lasted 7 years too, so well built.

Just want something that has a rain jacket, can carry a tripod, easy to get the camera out and has storage for other small tech related items.

this is the one i got http://store.lowepro.com/fastpack-bp-250-aw-ii love being able to get my camera without taking the bag off and fumbling around. Also the tripod holder is a godsend! i was carrying it on a shoulder strap until recently when i managed to fall down a ditch after the strap slipped off of my shoulder and the tripod hit me in the face...

Nah, I just put it on my donkey. (But I really just hold it, including up and down ladders. Pain in the arse.)
