Urban Exploration and School

Hey guys, firstly I didn't know where to put this so I put it here.

Urbex and School, This is directed more to people currently in high school or have recently graduated. As urbex is an illegal activity there are certain risks with it, one of which is school. I need to focus more on school but Urbex has just kept me back, I want to find a way to do both without compromising the other. I had recently been pulled up by the police for a random search (i'm underage) but since we didn't want any trouble we let them look in our bags because we hadn't done anything illegal that day, they looked through my camera and found photos of abandos and drains which got me into a bit of trouble. Luckily since we co-operated they let us off with a warning, although, the school and my parents were called, I thankfully didn't get into much trouble because they know I do urbex and know the risks and are fine with it. The school on the other hand wants to keep its "image" and high standards although it was a weekend. I got a friday detention for it ;(

Anyway, I wanted to know a way to do both and was looking for any tips or guidance.

Thanks, Mack

Meanwhile back in the real world I'm guno homeless unless I can find a new home by the end of the week. I swear, finding a place to rent is way harding than dating! Got a job and money, domesticated and tidy, chilled and easy to get along with. What more do you want? Flowers and a box of chocolate? Dinner at a nice Italian restaurant follow by a walk along the river? Fine ill go watch 50 shade of grey with you but no I won't wear a condom and I don't wanna meet ur parents, I just want a place to sleep!

Seriously tho, just set ur priorities in life

Have always thought education is pretty important no matter how boring or mundane it is. I was also pretty average at school till until I found some way of not flunking and got to Uni.

Of course that made me stress out more as it puts pressure to do well, so important to get some constructive R+R in between. I would say that Uni was some of the best years of my life.

Focus on priorities, be conscious of self and then things will start to fall in place.

Ask the teachers for advice too when possible. Silly as it might sound but that is their job and being inquisitive helps.

fellow student here

Don't let the police get evidence of anything illegal you are doing unless you're caught in the act ( unlucky)
When out urbexing don't carry ID or anything that can you get you identified. There was a situation where I got busted by security and they asked for my ID. I had to ditch my wallet and run for it (Duct tape wallet with opal card and 10$ cash) So nothing leading back to me.

My school has expelled students before for doing illegal things outside of school like fighting, shoplifting and trainsurfing? (Not sure if thats right terminology) ridgeys etc that stuff so if you get caught unless you're dealing with police then either tell them the truth and hope for the best or find the right time and run. (second option may be safer depending on situation)

The end game is a clean criminal record

In other words - hustling. Which is also pretty bad - I saw the reality tv version of it and the targets interviewed were always in a state of shock although I am sometimes guilty of laughing at how gullible people are.

Anything more than tresspassing will get you into even more trouble that's all I'll say. And tresspass is already bad. That's just my opinion but if you do the above it is something which you got to live with.

I would also add developing an inquisitive mind helps in urbex too.

Note that telling the truth doesn't always help, even if it's just hopping over a fence to take photos.

Once I had a police officer who was an ex-urbexer so he was pretty calm when I told him thats all I was doing, he just told me how not to get on the wrong side of the law while doing urbex, asking for permission and stuff like that. But thats half the fun, sneaking into places!

Holy crap, you lucky. Haha. I also totally agree with infiltration. Live stuff is a lot more fun, but I haven't done any. *cough*

That makes sense as it's more dangerous plus vandalism.
