Never been to Phuket, but if ur swinging round Bangkok at some point it's a great place to check out abandonments, u can easily find them just riding the BTS

Was at Patong beach a while back. Was keeping an eye out for things, but didn't do any urban exploring. Sewer/stormwater had many large open grates you could look down into though! Oh and smell the smells from

I just noticed the title of this thread haha.. Hopefully any locals will remember to subscribe it.

So yeah, got in last night.
At Patong. First thing you notice here is that the whole place literally smells like poo.

Had a good walk around this morning, looked down all the grates lol, also ate food and got massages as you do (nothing sus!).

Might even keep a bit of a journal here for now, but meanwhile, still keeping it as the Phuket Random Meetup Thread.

mmm them grates look juicy. Wouldn't be surprised if it was sewerage down there under all that junk.

I haven't been to Phuket but went to near by Krabi which is quieter, nicer and less hassle. I spotted many obvious drains / sewers which ran just underneath the footpath. The locals cover the grilles with cardboard and mats because the water smells so foul. I didn't even bother looking for outlets or anything to explore because there was no way I was going into that water. I did find an abandoned Video Ezy store though. I'm looking through my photos and can see I didn't even bother to photograph a single drain.

Just a couple of manholes with Thai writing.
