Teleport.

I thought Dunlop was knocked down ages ago? I think I'm the only person here (NSW) who hasn't been to Dunlop. :(
I'm with you there. ;(

Sorry if I am annoying anyone with bringing up old posts {I haven't been on this site in months}. Last time I was at Dunlop, late May my flicks date stamp it to be the only route was through the canal - which is the only route I have ever used to access the building. It may not be a 'virgin' site as some put it, far from it, but I still always find it an interesting shoot. Tagging may be an eye-sore, but there are some amazing artworks there that are worth seeing: http://laurenmossphotography.tumblr.com ... 6579960995

Probably one of my favorite posters I have ever come across, excellent placement too - out of sight upstairs. Has anyone been recently, in the last month or so? I will pay it one last visit I think.

it definitely still up, was there about a week ago. super easy to get in as well - through a nearby carpark. nothing too much to explore though, the interesting stuff on the basement floors are all boarded up but theres some sick graf for a great photo op. would recommend anyone to see if they havent already - its probably your last chance, seems like it'll be gone real soon.

Thanks for the update. I saw from the pic on nearmap the roof got ripped off and thought there would be not much to see.

Maybe they are waiting for the dust to settle or there are not enough builders to start the demolition yet.
Just a harmless explorer. No need to waste taxes checking me ;)

Its still there as of last saturday (24.1.2015)

I was there for a good hour and a half, during which time two very well dressed real-estate agents showed up. No where to run or hide I had no choice but to say hi. They were more than happy with me being there as I was clearly only taking photos. They even directed me to a section of the facility I hadnt seen before :D

Anyway, after a brief chat they told me the entire property has been sold for ($80m) and is currently being subdivided and renovated (not knocked down!!). Which i guess is good news.

So those that haven't seen it.. It seems now is your last chance before it becomes a construction site.

Dunlop lives on.

Just read this and was kicking myself for not going today as I've been recommended Sundays as the best day to go.
BUUUT with tomorrow being a public holiday I'm still in with a good chance of getting around with less chance of interruption, I hope.

Ended up heading in today, I'm glad I at least got around to seeing it before it ends up being whatever else it's going to be.
Found patent papers for fluoro golf balls, which I was way too excited about.

Trucks going in and out of the carpark beside it and workers in white jumpsuits are staring to dismantle parts of it. There was even a channel seven van waiting around. Lots of workers and people around now so it looks like I missed the boat by a long time. :(

still there and as easy as ever to get into. it is being worked on but it looks like they've left it alone for the time being - portaloo has been heavily vandalised and previously sealed access points have been re-opened. glass panels are gone from long section, steel roof is gone and looks like the 'tower' is being dismantled... something seemed different about it.

no idea why this place attracts so much attention and rumours about it, if you are worried you will miss it just go - the worst thing that will happen is that it is gone and you will have to have a walk around the surrounding blocks to find someone else to explore. nothing wrong with a bit of sun.
mighty helpful
