Hey guys,

Hailing from the Eastern 'burbs of Melbourne. I'm looking to meet up with some people to explore tunnels and rooftops around the CBD. ONLY for photography.

I haven't been out exploring too much. Bit of a noob in this aspect. And have really had access to rooftops that I have worked at around the city (nothing spectacular by any means).

I look forward to meeting a heap of you and exploring Melbz a lot more!

Cheers! :)

LOL...my bad! just to take photos! I have tried to access rooftops before. and have been met by security, and many doors that were bolted shut. sigh.

I got Canon FF, and a few primes.

You hittin' rooftops too, bro?

Yeah, most of it is luck. Requesting permission for access is less exciting but sometimes yields more results. (Not that I do that often. ;) )

Primes are the way to go. :D Zooms are for the lazy (or if you're doing jobs with just two cameras). I'm thinking of going the Nikon route for FF but keeping Canon as crop.

I carried a Nikon D700 (w/ a 35mm 1.4, 50 1.4) around Europe...weather proofing saved me soo many times! Don't think my canon has that much weather-proofing though..hmmm :x

The Canon 600D doesn't have weather-proofing either but it lasted quite well in gentle rain. It was my first camera and sometimes I miss the lightness of beginner-level DSLRs. Mm, I have a weakness for the 35mm focal length (in FF) ever since I had a X100S, which I sold to get the newer model, but haven't actually got it yet. Procrastinated and bought a K0-1 instead with a 40mm pancake.

I've been looking at the D750 ever since a Nikon friend brainwashed me, but they just got recalled... Is this a sign from god?

Welcome. Cannot say that I've had the pleasure of doing any rooftops yet, mostly just drains and abandonments but I'm always up for anything if you want to make some new friends.
Wander often. Wonder always.

Remember to stay safe and stay hidden on rooftops. Much attention, many trouble these days. (Media.)
