Hi, My name is Eve and I am interested in the urban Exploration of abandoned and defunct Theme Parks. I am looking forward to exploring these parks through out Australia. beginning with Wonderland Sydney, closed in 2004.

I visited there the last day it was open! Love to see it 10 years later.

I have actually just researched Wonderland NSW, And it was unfortunately demolished a year after closure. Most of the smaller Australian amusement parks suffered the same fate. I visited Bulgaria and walked through the ruins of Sofia Land, so I suppose I will be heading overseas for any future expeditions.
If anyone has any information on 'still standing' theme parks in Australia, I would like to hear from you.
Thank you, Eve

There's one that's been posted on here a few times with a big slide but I think there were fires in the area not too long ago.
There's also El Caballo Blanco (sp?) - search for it.
Welcome :)

Puzzle Park. There is a sign on the door that still says something along the lines of "Come in we're open" or something.

Thank you for your responses thus far. Dazzle-Land Adelaide was unfortunately closed and demolished between 1998, and 2000, and now houses a Lincraft. But El Caballo Blanco seems to still be standing.
I suppose I am heading to Catherine Field, Sydney.

I just saw that you're in SA. It's not worth an hour drive, unless you're in Sydney then I wouldn't bother. There should be plenty of photos of it around.

I know how far Sydney is. I have too much money. And too much time. And it is fifteen hours.
If you are committed to your hobbies, distance shouldn't be an issue. Stop spying on my location.

Whether it is above mentioned or not. Everybody online is a stranger. And I speak online as I would in public. If a stranger in public said something similar. I would find it weird. And when did honesty become something to push against?

You're looking for advice.

It's poor form to chastise another member for giving you honest, relevant advice.

Looking on. My response was not adequate to the point I was making. I suppose, I do not want flaky, irrelevant advice. Not to say that anyone is a flake, or irrelevant. But I didn't ask for a courtesy opinion, especially one that doesn't meet my desires, which are to do things myself. Experience these places first hand, and not just Google other peoples experiences. And because of this, I didn't see this advice as relevant. I don't mean to intentionally start something. I suppose I am just sensitive when it comes to language between independent parties. Apologies, to Site Admin. Eve -

Thank you.
We're pretty casual here, and I'm aware comments said in jest can be taken the wrong way.
Also, until you're a trusted member - and have shared your own experiences/intel - expect advice to be flaky and vague. This isn't a location database.
