I so need to get my web site back online. Yep, the first time round was a single day tour, the next time was 3 days.
I've also been to the Paris catacombs 3 times (well been in them more than 3 times, but on 3 seperate OS trips) including separate 11, 13 and 74 hour solo trips. Been in the catacombs of Rome (and snuck some video of it despite it being a no photos official tour). Missed the catacombs of names. Explored 3 separate missile silo complexes in the USA including multi silo Titan sites and a NIKE site. I think I've explored about 20+abandoned underground stations in Sydney, London, Glasgow, Paris, Barcelona, New York, New Jersey, Rochester (New York State), Cincinnati and Toronto. I've explored about 250 drains, and driven down 8. As far as I know, I was the first person to do drain driving for UE exploring. I've also explored lots of abandoned buildings, in Australia, Europe, the USA and more recently Asia, and former war zones of former Russian and Yugoslav states. I've explored an abandoned Russian space shuttle, and have the photos to prove it. Oh, and a few college tunnel systems such as Monash, UCLA, Virginia Tech Penn State, Mary and William College, Chapel Hill. Explored Chernobyl and the Odessa Catacombs. The latter on my own because I could not find a guide. (The secret, use lots of string.) Admittedly I didn't explore much of them as I had images of getting lost. Unlike the well mapped Paris catacombs, which I can remember the map of in my mind easily, I had few and poor maps of the Odessa catacombs. Plus I've explored a few other things.
Also back in the early days of UE I posted a camera to a guy in Russia who started one of the first Russian UE web sites. And I attended the first OPEX in Toronto, and subsequent ones in Vancouver and Buffalo where I helped pay for the accommodation of several younger attendees. I vaguely recall paying for some one's airfare during the first OPEX. But I can't recall who it was. Basically I used my frequent flyer points to get him a flight to and from Toronto from some place in the USA.
I still have heaps on my bucket list though. And despite what I have done, I still enjoy the basics, exploring and photographing abandoned buildings and tunnels. I avoid live / non legal stuff. I have a job to keep.
