Excessive use of data

Watch out people with Optus/virgin mobile.
Just copped "bill shock" for the first time cause youtube ain't free no more and i thrash it on my downtime at work. It should be called bill rage! I'm not a happy camper as I've done the same thing for 3 years and had the same cost. But now it 3 times more than standard bill. I'm scared to use the net and I don't even have Facebook.
Would of been nice to of been informed of said changes to billing.

Asking for a refund is not unrealistic if changes were made that you didnt know of. Give it a go and contact the ombudsman.
The worst that will happen is you will have to pay for it.

I maxed out my data few times also thanks to Youtube ..:|
Surprisingly when looking at consuming programs youtube is like a monster! Way more than digital radio, facebook and other apps.

As much as everyone hates Vodafone (Myself included at times) they send me sms with how much data i have left etc. Cant complain ;)

I now recieve updates on usage. Makes a difference, no more bill shock.

Ahh I miss those old phone bills. Was so much fun getting the bill and seeing $600. OMG thank you Optus. And I did that like 2 or 3 times before I just turned off the ability to watch YouTube on my phone all together.

Data usage apps make so much difference. I used to text the number the carrier gave you to check how much of everything you used.
