Hey all, 20 yr old from the western suburbs of radelaide here. My interest in UE started off with looking at photos of the chernobyl exclusion zone. Seeing what a place looks like post-inhabited is a pretty awesome thing, overcome by nature and time.

keen on all things urbex though i haven't done too much of it. Thanks for making this forum! It's a huge help and the asbestos warnings have probably prevented my own premature death. Nice meeting you all!

There's a few epic explores in the industrial suburbs of Adelaide if you know where to look, plus, hey is that big half demolished meatworks thing still there between Gepps Cross and Parafield?

Lots of nice and relatively dry drains in Add Delayed. Been a while since I was there.

Panic, how much radiation is left around those areas now? Did you have a Rad meter?

Enigma: Its not so much the "radiation" thats the problem. Theres still hot cells floating around in the air which if inhaled can produce cancer cells. Hence why it is highly advised that you wear long sleeve, pants and a simple respirator to stop anything going in.

Lots of apartments with now closed windows have a higher radiation levels than outside as its all trapped in there.

One day in Pripyat is same as watching old skool box TV up close for 4 hrs or taking a flight over the time zone which also gives people readiation (Bet you didn't know that).

Don't forget that different people accept atmosphere differently. There is still a few people living in Chernobyl country area and are well in to their 80s etc... healthy as fuk. Same as with smoking some people can smoke 2 pks a day and be healthy till 90 some never smoke and get cancer of lungs....

So simply put, if you go to Pripyat, dress well, don't lick moss and stay with the tour guide as they know best and safest way around the city.
